In Your Words - A Psi Upsilon Blog

A sense of brotherhood

Daniel Kuhn, Delta Nu ‘11 (Keene State College)

I had joined Delta Nu Psi when I was a freshman. It was a local fraternity here in Keene that was full of a comradely rich brotherhood and a joi de vivre that would rival those of the ancient Greeks.

I knew nothing about national organizations and what they were about, so I assumed that fraternities were a strictly regional thing. It wasn’t until we were told Psi U was looking at us that I realized that all these feelings didn’t seem so…esoteric anymore. We started pledging Psi U shortly thereafter, and started learning more and more about them and the close ties they emphasize with other chapters.

There’s something about Psi Upsilon as a national that gives me the feeling that no matter where I am, I can have that sense of brotherhood with any other chapter, and it’s a nice feeling to know that I’m welcome in more than just one college.
