Our nation’s finest young people

As a ten-year plus member of the Psi Upsilon Executive Council and Foundation and as a twenty year alumni president of the Psi Chapter ( Hamilton College), I have learned the continuing importance and relevance of Psi Upsilon in the lives of our college undergraduates, our future leaders.
My Psi Chapter initiation in the fall of 1957 was attended by my grandfather, John E. Becker, Psi 1903, my father, John C. Becker, Psi ‘35 and my uncle, Albert Cassel, Tau ‘32. We continue an insurance business began in 1840 by one of our founders, Sterling Goodale Hadley, in Waterloo, NY.
My lifetime of service and exposure to Psi U has introduced me to many business and personal contacts and to some of the finest people that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. My interaction with the undergraduate brothers of the Psi and others met at Psi U’s annual Convention has, hopefully, helped them to understand that their fraternity life is much more than a college social experience.
We can all be proud of our fraternity, not only for what we individually have contributed to society but what our national fraternity continues to do in the development of some of our nation’s finest young people.
YITB,
Jeb Becker, Psi ‘61 (Hamilton)
